Flowers

Everyone loves roses because they are beautiful flowers.  You may be able too trim the thorns and enjoy their beauty for a while up close, but you have to put in the work
It's usually worth it. 

Cactuses also produce beautiful  flowers from time to time.  Those flowers are often out of our reach when a cactus gets to a certain height. The beautiful flowers that cactuses produce are also protected by needles and are in climates where we rarely ever see them. 

Situations, people, and flowers are similar. Dead roses are ugly.  Cactus flowers have to be appreciated from a distance.  All flowers thrive when we give them what they need and let them grow.  They stop growing when we cut them.

Oh yeah, and I don't care how long you've been walking around in the desert you're never going to want to sit down on a cactus to rest. Sitting on a cactus will only make your time in the desert worse! 

How do you handle flowers? What are you doing to get out of the desert? How do you handle negativity when it enters your life? Sometimes you have to love people and flowers from a distance.  You should never do anything that will make your situation worse in the long run.
